This is my latest charity quilt. I left the corner folded over so you could see the flannel backing. Yes, the patch is because I found a serious flaw in the yellow fabric when I was in the middle of quilting it. Yes, the pun is intentional.
Oversized blocks, especially stars are some of my favorite choices for baby quilts. I like to use Thermore batting because it handles so well and is VERY warm. The flannel makes it even more cuddly.
I made a rule for myself that if I sew on a Sunday, I work on a charity quilt before anything else.

Had to laugh as I just had to remedy an area also. The quilt had brushed againest the mini iron, unnoticed, and scorched an area about one inch. Thankfully it was in the large square. Covered it by adding a heart applique, then did one in each of the other solid squares. It actually made the quilt prettier! It would be nice to know of other saves.
