So many quilts, so little time.
I've never heard of a mystery quilt before. I might have to Google that. Are there any examples of completed Mystery Quilts here on QB?
A Mystery Quilt is one that you don't see the final look until you're done. It's done in steps - some are sewn in one day with steps posted every hour - especially on days like New Years and the Super Bowl. For this one you pick up your next clue sheet on the first Tuesday of each month - for 6 months. The first one to come in with a completed top gets some kind of surprise. This is the first one I've been involved with and I'm not going to Google anything cause I don't want to spoil the surprise!
So many quilts, so little time.
Love the fabrics!!! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

Nice, would love to see the finished quilt!!!!
Marie, Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville.com) has a Mystery Quilt that starts each November. Here is a link to the one we completed in January 2011. It was the Orca Bay Mystery. We get weekly instructions.

Also on this board we are starting a mystery on May 26th. Here is a link to that one:

All the mysterys I've listed above are free, you just supply the materials. Mystery Quilts are load of fun. Usually they are scrappy and you can use fabric from your stash. Check them out and join in!

I love, love, love your fabrics! I can't wait to see your finished quilt! This week I finished my first mystery quilt. I really enjoyed the process and was so pleased with the finished project.
I've always loved doing mysteries (quilts... mystery books drive me nuts & I have to cheat & read the end first). There are several at QOV & also about.com that I've done that have been fun. I have yet to start this one but am saving the directions until I have time to. It looks like a good one... good size!
