Last summer we had major flooding in East and Southeast Iowa. So I sympathize with the flooding! Alot of people lost their homes and have had major damages. The bridge from Burlington Iowa into Illinois was closed for several weeks due to the flooding. It completely wiped out a town across the brideg in Ill. They chose not to rebuild their town.
Our local economy was badly affected with so many out of work and out of homes.

Our thoughts are with all of you in the flooding! Great way to use your time while you wait!
One town relocated further up an incline and therefore escape flooding. Moved the whole town. But, I don't remember which state.

You know, I must be absent-minded today!! I do know that the Red is formed in Breck/Wahpeton area. I've lived here all my life.....sometimes you just lose it!!!!

Thanks for the info tho...and I do believe that the song is for the Texas Red River....

Yep, song is for the Texas/Oklahoma Red River. The movie with John Wayne was also about the Texas Red River. If I remember correctly, it's premier was in Denison, TX some time in the 1930s. I love old movies.

Pretty quilt.
Have been watching the flood(suppose to crest at 43 ft.) story all day. Have friends scattered all over ND and MN. Glad you are on high ground.
