Some huge white or any solid color flowers placed randomly would calm this quilt down. with a solid border.

I have had a couple that I didn't think I likes, so, I cut the at an angle //////, and made place mats and mug rugs and som I cut in a circle for candle mats. I like colors.

You did a nice job working with what you had. And you got to try something new. Now go finish it and show it to us so we can ooo and ahh over another quilt finished.

The more you look at it the better it looks. Once it is finished I think you will like it. I did one using Christmas fabric and appliqued a big Christmas tree on it and it helped. You might think about adding appliques. Think this pattern is not something I would probably do again.

    I like those fabrics!

I probably would have made two quilts, interspersing each with less busy neutrals and purples and orange/yellow.

    But it's cute- be proud!!

Here's a jelly roll race style quilt I made for a local charity collection for bushfire victims. I was given a small bag of cut pieces to use for my string quilt but when I opened the fabrics out they were 2.5 inch strips sewn together into 3s and 4s. I added some black/grey squares as I joined the pieces. I added some applique once I dscovered it came out with a largish light area. I pieced the outside borders with pieces from my precut 2.5 inch strip bin. The binding came from a scrap bag.
