    I would use the lighter color myself. It really lets the dark colors in the quilt to pop. The darker colors seem to drown out the colors in the body of the quilt.

    I kind of like the pinkish floral print. It seems to frame in your beautiful center very nicely.

    Thank you all for the suggestions. I love the dark look. I think I will either try the scrappy idea. It means I am going to have to ruin the other half of the HST that went along with these that I had planned for another quilt or maybe use the dark blue that I used for the Y&B swap. I will wait if that is the case until I have the two quilts done that I have planned for those blocks. I have lots of time right?

    i would use all the darker colors. starting with the red, which is already there, then a medium width green then a narrow blue. keep it scrappy looking.

    That's a good idea. The red border will finish at 1". What do you think the green and blue should finish at??
