'Loveland' log cabin lap quilt
#1
Hiya,
I made this as a Christmas present for a friend's little girl. The pattern is from the Judy Martin Log Cabin book. Her Mum said she liked 'girly', do you think it's 'girly' enough?!
This is the first time I FMQ'd anything other than squiggles - they're hearts, although some of them look more like kidneys! The large hearts in the corners I did by ironing on a freezer paper template and going round the edge with my walking foot. :D

Granny - you HAVE to get this book!!! It's a 'must have'! I actually bought it for the Snake River pattern after seeing Dunster's version on here. This pattern in the book is done with 1/2" finished logs and four heart blocks but she gives instructions for 1" finished logs to make it up to queen size. So I simplified things by making the latter, only one block which finished at 25" square, then putting the borders around it. :D
