The Judy Martin piecing technique is right back to basics - and it really makes you get a handle on that
scant 1/4" seam allowance - you see straight away as you join the next log (everything is pre-cut) whether your previous seam was on the nail OR NOT! :shock: My seam ripper DID see quite a bit of action, I have to admit! :lol:
Granny - you HAVE to get this book!!! It's a 'must have'! :mrgreen: I actually bought it for the Snake River pattern after seeing Dunster's version on here. This pattern in the book is done with 1/2" finished logs and four heart blocks but she gives instructions for 1" finished logs to make it up to queen size. So I simplified things by making the latter, only one block which finished at 25" square, then putting the borders around it. :D
