awww. So sweet! (lovely quilt, too!)

Ya know, I always shyed away from the camera, but I try not to do anymore, it if I can help it. All the people we love see us all the time just as we really are, and they love us anyway. LOL.
But really, we should jump at the opportunity to get in those pics with our loved ones. We won't always be around, and those photos will be cherished by the ones we leave behind. Or someone else may leave first, and we'll be thankful for those memories.
I have two first cousins that left our family early. Thad (left us when he was 22 in a car accident) hated getting his picture taken, and I cherish all the pics I have of him and Jason(left us at 27 from cancer).

You have a good point, Miranda. I HATE to have my picture taken, but as you said, everyone else sees me like this and don't really care. I have only one other picture of tis aunt taken almost 60 years ago when I was a baby and she was holding me i her lap. So this snapshot is very special to me. I am getting a 5 X 7 made of it to send her so that she will have a photo of me and her together.
