Every year, I spend some time between Memorial Day and 4th of July making at least one patriotic quilt to send to a local veterans groups, AmericanHeros.com (they in a Washington State). Thought it would be fitting to share some with you today.

A big thank you to all the real heros out there!

    Really simple applique

Those are beautiful, what a nice thing to do. Do they give them to Veterans or to soldiers who are serving now?

They give them to the wounded soldiers in the local Army hospital shortly after they arrive.

You send them the completed tops, backing, and binding and they have volunteer longarmers who finish them.

Thank you for the volunteer work that you're doing for our "true heroes". They're all stunning! I really like the first one and the one you just finished(the first post)!!!

Those are all so beautiful. And what a wonderful thing to do. I love red, white and blue quilts. Great job.
