Default Memory Quilt...this one's for me!

When my mom passed away a few years ago, I decided to make memory quilts for my siblings as a way of honoring my family and of healing from it as well. I was amazed at how good I felt as I was working on the different quilts. I only just finished "my" top a couple of days ago. It still has to be quilted, which I will send to a professional to do, but it took me longer to finish my own quilt. I prefer the "scrappy" element in making them and add lots of additional blocks for interest and color. I hope you enjoy. The pictures are of my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and myself and family growning up. Thanks for looking!

Just love this quilt, I am making one of my brother. Not as grand as yours, but memories of my own. Thanks for sharing such a great quilt.

That is a beautiful quilt and very well made. Looks perfectly square in the photo. Lovely family heirloom.
