Default More "Fun with Fabric Dyes"

Day two of our fabric dyeing adventure...

This is a 48" x 37" tray I put together this morning that holds a full yard of fabric for dyeing. It is set up to be lined with dropcloth plastic for easy cleanup. ;-) The fabric with dye on it is the deep purple and fuchsia with a salt resist sprinkled on.

And here is a closeup of the result~This one was FUN...sprinkling on salt and then squirting on dyes wildly!

These are all the same dye-bath of Teal using a low-water immersion gradient method.

(The colors of the teal pieces look much better in person!)

the fabrics are beautiful...something I think I would like to get into but I'm afraid to as my sewing and quilting already takes up so much space....but looking at your beauties sure makes me start to rethink

They are lovely. I admit that I still have 4 fq that I hand dyed 20 years ago. I've never been able to cut them. I've tried and can't do it.

I like your setup!!!

These are really great. I can't wait to take the fabric dyeing class in Raleigh next week. We are supposed to use different techniques on silk. It sure looks like you are having fun.
