I just got the pictures out of my camera :) Each DGK chose his/her own fabric out of a choice of nearly 30 pieces. The baby was genuinely delighted to find the dragonfly fabric in the stash. You might notice that the paisley hand seems backwards, but that is because she is left-handed like her mother. On the back of wall hangings, I normally put split sleeves to put a stick through... generally, a bamboo skewer from the kitchen is large enough. This way, the work can be hung from a center 'nail' or a ribbon tied to the ends to hang. I'm not happy that the pen bled so much in writing the label. My picture is sewn to the corner of the label. In appliqueing the hands, I already layered the quilt so the blanket stitch becomes part of the quilting. I sewed the binding to the back and blanket stitched it to the front, a first try with this method.
