My Creativity Room - Getting Organized!
#1
Hi! I wanted to share some pictures of my attempt at getting my creativity/sewing room organized. My husband has 1/2 and I have 1/2. He is a fine artist (oil painter, miniature painter...etc).
I still have A LOT to do in the room, including getting covers for the racks and cases to protect the fabric better.

It's a great space you have there!!
Only one thing I would mention....I wouldn't keep the fabric in the plastic. Cotton/fabric needs to breath. Plus, if there's ANY minute drop of water/moisture, you could have mold build up.
I have a plastic bin that I put my fat quarters in. I fold them, then stand them on end, so I can see what colors I have. I'd take a pic to show you, but the bin and the fats are laying on the floor. I'm soooo unorganized right now!

I love your room!!! I especially love that you have Dia de Muertos sugar skull fabric with your sweet little gals with parasols LOL.
I thought maybe you and hubby being artists would like to see this tutorial...(it matches your fabric :D)

i love your space, but i have to tell you that i especially love that quilt, you lucky thing. that block was featured on a fons & porter tv episode and again in their magazine with eight instead of four points. and was called wagon wheels. it's also known as wheels for mary. i spent a long time trying to track it down and everyone on the board chipped in to help me. judy finally found the exact instructions in an old f&p magazine. so i can appreciate all the work your grandmother put into it. i hope you cherish it.
