My First attempt at Lone Stars!

This is my second quilt and my first attempt with a giant Lone Star! The method I used was really simple with the help of The Joy of Quilting by Joan Hanson and Mary Hickey...really!

I tend to shy away from traditional quilting fabrics so these are a blend of silks, taffetas, velvets and polyester blends.

I am off on another quilting adventure with handmade appliques and my kids can't wait to see who gets the next one!

This is the front

Thanks! It's nice to hear a comment like that from someone who knows how to do this! I swear it was that book!! She even shows where to put the pins so the corners line up!
