Lucky you to find them for such a ridiculous price! If you are in need of specialty feet, they sell them on e bay. I have had the 930 record, 830 record, 180 Artista (with a 200 upgrade), and now the 440 Aurora. I passed the first two on to my sisters who still use them. In between I bought another sewing machine and had to go back to the berninas. I just couldn't get used to it, even though it was a great machine.

I have had a serger for some twenty five years and use it while doing home dec or clothing. I do have two books on projects using the serger that make all of the uses clear. Try looking at your local library to check one out to see if this helps you to get started with it.

Oh by the way, the bernina on line site has some nice projects for a free download.

Congratulations. I missed out on one at an estate sale. It'll teach me not to take more money to an estate sale

Berninas are wonderful machines, I've had 7 of them. The 1st one I bought new in 1992 is a 1031 that I still use. Also had an 807 minimatic, 130,140 and 150 Activa, 930 and old 730.

Love my Berninas... Have a 930 from early 80's, a newer 630e, and another from the 80's, Bernette Funlock 004-d serger which I love! Enjoy your great finds!

I bought my first Bernina in 1997 and several years ago I bought #2. The first is now my travel machine. A workhorse for sure.

Boy did you get a really, really great deal. I just took a look on eBay and they are selling from $700 to over $1,000. These older machines are fabulous - people I have known who used to have them and then traded up wish they had kept them. And they are not as fussy as our shiny new computerized ones. I have 2 Pfaff 1473 machines that I take with me to classes, etc. - they sew great and don't mind riding in the car. I can barely lift my new and almost new maxhines😄
