Here's some pics of a flannel rag quilt that I finished last night. I picked out 6 different flannel fabrics and just used a simple block design for it. The unfinished blocks were 7" square, so my finished blocks are 5" square. The entire quilt measures 50" x 60". I used a square of Warm & Natural batting in each block as well, so this thing is WARM. After about 10 or 15 minutes I was starting to feel a little too warm. So should be good for a cold winter night. :)

That's a really pretty quilt Eddie. You did that so quickly!!! do you sew the squares together and then clip?

Yes, sew the squares together into rows, and then sew rows together to form the top, all using a 1" seam allowance. I bought a special pair of rag quilting scissors which are really nice for snipping the fringe. Made it real easy to do. After the fringe is done you just wash and dry it to get that fluffy fringe look.

A tut please. I know the way you 'teach' i will better understand how to make one of these beautiful quilts such as yours. I will be using Homespun fabrics I am collecting.
Your colors amaze me. You have a good eye.
