Two weeks ago my mother an I went to a workshop to make a hexagon flower ring. We went to the workshop with the idea it was on de sewing machine. I was shocked. I have never did any hand sewing. But we went anyway.

The morning went by and I put some hexagons together. My mother learned me quick how to sew by hand.
This was my first attempt. We have learned at the workshop to look at the fabric. You can make beautiful pedals using the pattern of the fabric.

I went home and continued making the flowers. I was addicted. I used jeansfabric as background. Underneed the fabric is a peace of polysterene to pin the pieces easily.

It grew and grew..

Yesterday I found a piece of canvas (normally used for painting). I put my flowers on the canvas and loved it. The colours are more bright.

Today I sewed the last flowers together. Know I am thinking to add some beading. But the beading lies in my parents house so I have to wait.

This was my journey of the last two weeks.

Recurver, Thank you for sharing all the pictures! You are right, the white background looks really good. Beads will be a wonderful added touch.

Fabulous piece of work. The fabric you have chosen just makes each flower pop and the centres are gorgeous.
