I am working on a Feathered Star and am having second thoughts about my border. I am appliqueing a bunch of leaves & circles & will attach a row of dk green/background HST to finish this off. I think probably I chose a less than good border. Oh well, learn as we go, I suppose? Riley

i'm sure it will be gorgeous with or without the border you described. have you considered alternating the direction of the triangles (as in flying geese) so they echo the star points all around?

It's beautiful! I love the border, and I think you will, too, when it's all finished. Awesome job!

Very pretty! I can't wait to see it finished. A dark green border should frame everything, but I think anything you choose will be beautiful. The "stars" of the quilt are the feathered blocks! Gorgeous!

Thank you all very much!

You have certainly welcomed me nicely to your forum with all of your kind comments.

I began to quilt when I retired from 40 years of nursing. I decided I needed a "calmer" way of life. (HA HA)

My all time favorite form of quilting is applique & almost all of my quilts have some applique on them.

Thanks again for your kindness! I look forward to getting to 'know' you!
