Thanks everyone-it was fun to make, but not easy to use quick piecing techniques--basically each square was sewn square by square. I chose to use the muslin as that fabric was commonly used during the era as well--in fact had random pieces of the muslin which I tea dyed to get a more aged look. I am giving this in memory of Lydia (CW nurse) to the distant family member who has supplied me with lots of information on my DH's family.

That's a really nice job! I do a ton of re-enacting and I love to see authentic quilts!
