Default My version of a Harry Potter Quilt

I made this for my great nephew who is an avid reader and has read the Harry Potter series 5 times. It's not all he reads but it has been a favorite. The licensed Harry Potter fabric seemed too young for him (he was 11 at the time I made this) so I went with fabrics that I thought captured the feel of magic. The pattern is my own, I fussy cut the fabric to make the most of the prints, the little man who points at the label is from the Ghastly's fabric (not sure the mfr picked up at yard sale). Yes the label is on the front---all the quilts I make for kids I use minkee (sp) on the back so it is cuddly and I put the labels on the front. Thanks for looking.

Oh my goodness...you absolutely nailed it! The lightning bolt fabric border is just the perfect finishing touch! I am so impressed at how well you did without buying the licensed designer fabric. You rock girl I know he will absolutely treasure it!

My feelings exactly! It's the perfect quilt for a Harry Potter lover! And it's not "kiddie". The fabrics are gorgeous! I know your nephew will spend many blissful hours, wrapped up in this, reading! Great job!
