Quilting does bring people together. I met one of my best buddies at a quilt shop when they were having a fabric designer speak. We got to talking, she invited me to her guild and next thing you know, we're booked on a quilting cruise to Alaska together! That was in 2007 and we're still good friends. Have fun together. It's always fun to have someone to motivate us.

Eddie's is great, but in Sunnyvale and we are in South San Jose. With traffic it takes half an hour or more to get there. Eddie's is where my DH took the Featherweight maintenance class. Love that store. They have moved from the original store and are now in a 2 story building!

We met at Prairie Queen's Quilt Shop in the Cambrian Park Center. Prairie Queen's has been around for about 5 years and is a beautiful shop with pleasant and helpful people.

Sharon is an interesting and fun woman. We laughed alot about how alike we are and I really enjoyed our afternoon together getting to know one another.

Great, cheerful photo and, my goodness, what a wonderful colour range in the fabrics in the background. I've never seen anything like it where I shop, here in Australia.

This shop is Prairie Queens on Camden & Union. Do you know the shopping center with the OLD fashioned sign with the merry-go-round up high in the air? Bowling alley is also in there.

I go to Eddie's on occasion, too. Also Quilter's Nest (Princeton Plaza on Meridian & Kooser), and a few others. Thursday is a quilt show at San Mateo fairgrounds. I'm going alone (as opposed to taking my neice who looks "fast", then wants to leave). I want some serious shopping and browsing time, and alone is the best way this time. Thanks for the post. Do you miss the Bay Area at all? Did you ever go to the shops in Morgan Hill?
The only thing I miss is all the good quilt shows in the bay area but the bay area to live, no don't miss it at all....No, never make it to Morgan Hill for shopping
