don't feel bad, Alex Anderson once told that she entered a quilt that she was sure would be a best of Show quilt and didn't even get an honorable mention as well known as she is. I don't understand the judging. At our Oklahoma State fair, I wouldn't have agreed with any of the winners they picked. I have never entered a quilt show. I plan to show 2 of mine at a local quilt show at Chickasha next month. It's not going to be judged. I like that better.

This is a beautiful and well planned quilt. It's a winner in my book, no question!

Well, I love it! I've been buying and saving purples for over a year waiting for the right pattern. That's it. I love it. Thanks for the inspiration!

    You are welcome.

I had lots of purples and didn't even try to count them.

I never expected this post to get so many hits. I just wanted to post my purple quilt.

Beautiful quilt----something my granddaughter would probably love for me to make for her. She loves purple (and baby blue). How long did it take you to finish this?

Years. Because I would sew on it and put it up -- over and over I did this. Then I would collect a little more purple. I think the workshop was in 2005, and I just finished it for the 2010 quilt show.

I didn't use all my purples, and this week I have been playing with something else with purple. This really isn't even my favorite color. Blue is.
