We recently had a rather large quilt show. I, hopefully, am going to show you my "Strings of Purple" that didn't even get an honorable mention.

It is a spider web pattern.

Your quilt is just beautiful- can't believe it didn't win anything! Looks like it was a lot of piecing...nice job.

I think your quilt is lovely and should have gotten some sort of recognition.

It is a very nice quilt. Believe me you are not alone. I have entered in shows and never won anything either. I have however won ribbons at our county fair. I don't care though. I think it is great fun just to see my quilt hanging in the show and chatting with people about it. Not to mention the great opportunity it affords to get a real good picture of your quilt as your photo here shows

There were almost 400 quilts and one judge -- many categories. This was in Pieced Team Large. I pieced it and a friend quilted it on her APQS machine.

I had a friend working in the exhibit hall. She said that when people came around the corner and saw the purple quilt, they would gasp. That's my ribbon.

Your quilt is really quite beautiful and artistically expressive. Sorry the judges didn't see it that way, but who really know why a judge picks some quilts over others? Their opinion should not affect how proud you should be of your work!!!

I would have given it at least a second, it sure deserves it.

Lovely pattern and color. The judges might not have liked purple or lavender. Their loss. We know that you do lovely work.

I love it! I am somewhat partial to purple but that is still a wonderful piece of art! You have every right to be proud!
