    My son picked out the block and it has 57 pieces in a 12' block! He was born in 2000 and I've been collecting millenium fabric since 1999, so now it's time to make him a sampler quilt. (I think he'll get a choice of 3 patterns next time )

    I like it a lot! All those millenium fabrics go very well together - I'm sure the end result will be stunning, making the large amount of pieces in a block a mere memory .

    I've also learned to 'limit options' when offering to do/make something!

    Better you than me. I would have blown the pattern up so that the whole quilt took only six or nine blocks. It looks great but by the time you make a bed size quilt using blocks with that many pieces you will probably never speak to your child again.
