Not ironed or squared, but done!

My son picked out the block and it has 57 pieces in a 12' block! He was born in 2000 and I've been collecting millenium fabric since 1999, so now it's time to make him a sampler quilt. (I think he'll get a choice of 3 patterns next time )

I like it a lot! All those millenium fabrics go very well together - I'm sure the end result will be stunning, making the large amount of pieces in a block a mere memory .

    Very pretty block.

You did a nice job on it!

I've also learned to 'limit options' when offering to do/make something!

It's beautiful! I do hope he doesn't have a king sized bed, though!

Better you than me. I would have blown the pattern up so that the whole quilt took only six or nine blocks. It looks great but by the time you make a bed size quilt using blocks with that many pieces you will probably never speak to your child again.

57 pieces and you are still sane, wow my hats off to you! I couldn't imagine all those pieces. Amazing what moms will do for their children and all wrapped up in love! Lucky young man! I look forward to seeing more of your blocks!

Boy - can I ever relate! I am never providing choices to anyone ever again. They're going to get what I feel like making. Hats off to you for your labor of love!
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

That's a really pretty block. Does it have a name? The quilt is going to look fantastic when completed.

I agree with mpspeedy. I haven't the time to put into a quilt with this many pieces in one block. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful block & you did a great job putting it together, but this quilt is going to be an ongoing project for awhile.
