    Default Not a Jeweled Forest

I've been admiring all the Jeweled Forest trees here, but couldn't get the pattern, so... I decided to make my own forest. These blocks are my very own "Ponderosa Forest". I drew the pattern and started experimenting. Each tree panel is about 12 x 20 and I plan to put a border on each one and make wall hangings out of them. I've got some gold metalic thread to do some FMQ on them too. I'll post some more pictures when I get them done, but here they are for now.

This was my first try at paper piecing and I tried using Golden Threads paper and stitching through it, and also did some using freezer paper and folding it to stitch along the fold. For this project, I like the freezer paper method best.

Outstanding! I have never done paper piecing and can't imagine how you could make up your won pattern. Impressive!!
