Your quilt is gorgeous and your mom is going to love it. I like the idea of feathers too. Please post another pic when you are finished with it.

I will definitely post when finished. Thanks for all the suggestions. I love the piecing part of quilting, but am still learning how to do the quilting part! It certainly gets easier with practice, so I guess I'll have to keep working at it. It's just hard to be brave and try new things on something that you're making for someone special.

I can't help on the quilting area, BUT I can sure tell you, THAT is a gorgeous quilt. Your mom is gonna love it..... :D

Love the colors. Leaves and vines would look wonderful, of course, I am a big fan of feathers, too! I think whatever you choose will look great. I guess I'm no help, sorry. Can't wait to see it finished!
