Yes, it is hand applique and embroidery. The cherries and grapes are French knots. The barbed wire is a stitch I invented. I had forgotten it took best in division as well.

Is this a quilt you made or purchased? I wonder about the quilter and think about all of the love that went into each stitch and the creativity involved in designing the quilt. What a treasure!

I know how much work each block must have taken you. I, too, am a stickler for detail and love your special touches. That's what makes an individual quilt unique, even though someone else may have made the same pattern. Congratulations on your BLUE!
