The way this quilt is framed with the 4 borders make it appear like a picture hanging on your wall; it's really lovely!
How well I remember this pattern and the solids from that time.

This is a such a beautiful quilt and I agree, looks like framed art. You have a real eye for color...great selections in the squares. I think it is fitting that this Trip Around the World reflects the Trip Through Your Life. I agree that you need to make sure there is a great label on the back!

I am keeping this quilt & it's history - actually think one of our sons will realize the story is us. Bob is my new chapter. Actually almost as interesting considering... We were boyfriend/girlfriend jr. yr. of HS and everything conspired that I was a widow about 6 months out & he was in the middle of a nasty divorce from a 30 yr marriage when we reunited at our 40th HS reunion in 2011. Only in storybooks kind of luck - karma - whatever you want to call it

Having a hard time deciding if the journey or the quilt is the most beautiful. Hope you wrote all of that on the back (LOL). Well at least some of it. I love the simplicity of it and the colors.

Well worth the wait to get her done! You must name this quilt that has such a long history to it. I love the cross that is formed in the center of the quilt. Let me know if you come up with a name. I love it!

Thanks for sharing such a treasure with us! I have a couple of quilts that I take out and work on a little now and then and when life gets in the way they get put away. You have given me hope that someday I might finish them.
