I split a mofit and made a star burst for the larger sections of this quilt. What do you think of the burst in the white fabric? I only have until next Monday to get this finished and in the mail, and now is the to make changes. It is taking me forever to quilt it since I am hand quilting it. It took me all day yesterday just to get the center star done and it was just stitch in the ditch.

I am so ready for this quilt to be done.

    That is really pretty!
I wouldn't make any changes, unless you want to change the mailing address for it. In that case, I can give you mine! lol

Thank you both. I am nervous about the quilting. It has been years since I hand quilted and I noticed my stitches are running a little bigger than I would like. (I am very critical of my work)

LOL...tlrnhi, it makes me feel good that someone would want this. It makes me think Mom will love it. Since my sister or myself can't be there for her birthday we are making it as special as possible. My sister found a bakery that delivers so she is getting a birthday cake hand delivered. My grandfather will give her all our gifts at her birthday dinner that her family is throwing her. I am tearing up just thinking about it. I really miss Mom, and this is a huge birthday for her. Number 70, and going strong. 8)

I wouldn't change a thing mom2three. I think your hand quilting is exceptional and I love the design you've chosen. She'll love it!! :)

I think it is GORGEOUS! Don't be so hard on yourself. It would take me a week or more to do half that much! (I have only machine quilted my projects, and they've all been small).
    You're doing great!!!

Your mom is going to love it! Happy Birthday to your mom!!
I just wish my mom were still alive, because she would be right here with me quilting. Ok, she'd be knitting or crocheting. She did quilt, but loved yarnwork.
