Oh Lovely work, I know how you feel. Yesterday the helicopters were flying around here as there were two separate fires going at once. its just so dry here at the moment, there are NO fires allowed at this time of year and notices flash up on the road signs not to throw cigarettes out of there windows.

Anyway congratulations on doing such fine work for a very worthy cause.

thank you all for the compliments and encouragement. years ago when times were good women would mention an item they liked at the auction and it was ON. The more the husbands drank the more they'd spend, especially if they thought they were going to be outdone, those that didn't have wives or whatever would buy stuff and give it back to be sold again. those were the good ole days.

What a great way to use and display Dresdan Plate!
And, what a nice thing to do for the VFD ... as a former volunteer fireman/EMT, I understand the wonderful encouragement your gift will provide.
Thank you for supporting your community members who sometimes put aside their family life to protect others.

Wow, that is a beautiful quilt. You did a great job. Where on the Texas coast do you live? I live in Sugar Land (Houston area) now, but I grew up in Port Arthur and my family is still there. My husband grew up in Beaumont. :-)
