Paducah evaluation & haul
#1
I was in Paducah yesterday and the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. I had a great time but one day is not long enough. Next year 3 days. The Paducah show was reorganized because of the flooding. Their brochures were not correct but shuttle routes were updated. The events were split in two separate sections of town and thus difficult to get around. All-in-all the show experience was good. I did not think it was crowded...a lot of people...but not crowded. We had to wait for one shuttle for 25 minutes and it took over 45 minutes to get to our destination. I heard they spent $8,000 to get lighting and electrical outlets in the old Circuit City building for the vendors.
This is what I purchased and would have bought more except I had to lug it around all day.

Also, the Quilt in a Day tent had lots of $5 fabric and plenty of people to cut fabric. Hancocks of Paducah was not what I expected...just lots of fabric...no real discount or show specials. I could have ordered online and got the same fabric cheaper even with shipping. I was somewhat disappointed. The vendor booths were awesome. If I had more time I would have played with the longarms...and there were lots of them.

I made a haul at the Paducah show also. I had to drive a lot of extra miles to go around roads that were closed because of water. I intended to go 3 days but I decided to stay home the third day because of the miles and the high prices of gasoline. I was also disappointed with Hancocks and only bought two pieces there. I was just happy they didn't have to cancel the show.
