Default Patriotic Ohio Star Finished

This has to be close to a record for me, from fabric to quilt in a week. It is a lap size, about 30" by 42", and made from leftover fabric from other projects. It is for an Aunt's 80th birthday party and is titled "Who's Counting?". She lives in Ohio, hence the Ohio Stars!

It's been a while since I've done a traditional quilt with all the blocks the same. Putting the two center ones on point settled the devil in me that wanted to add something more. I do wish I had done something other than stippling in the empty spaces, I think an echo might have worked better. I didn't want anything too fancy to detract from the stars. I am very pleased with this perky little quilt!

Enjoy!

You should be pleased - it is a wonderful quilt. I like the little "spark" you added by turning the center on point...good design thinking.

this quilt is very nice, not too heavily quilted as to not see the pattern

So the devil made you do it, LOL? Your change in the setting really made the quilt sizzle. Beautiful!

It's a beautiful quilt and the 2 center blocks gives it that something "Special"!

Just Beautiful! All that tiny quilting really adds to the finished quilt. Great Job!
