this is a picture of a baby quilt I made for a coworker. the pattern came out of another magazine. I just enlarged the sketch of the angel and traced it onto mauslin with a fine point marker.

Very nice Vicki! I love the label - that's always a hard part for me, sometimes I just write on the back of the quilt....

Well, its getting to where the label is taking a good amount of time too. Sometimes at the beginning of articles, they have this little sketch of the angel. so I enlarged her on the copier and traced over that onto the fabric with a fine point marker, then stitched around it with black thread. The pattern was in an old issue of American Patchwork and Quilting and the angel came out of Quilt Magazine.

Very pretty quilt and I like the label too.... I bought some premade labels..still have a few but will have to do some up someday and I like your idea! Very clever!

That is so pretty, it looks like it was made with a machine. It never ceases to amaze me what people can do with their own hands and minds; and we are all unique,no two alike. That is one lucky child

what a friend! i hope the mommy uses it some and then saves for when the baby has a baby, it's beautiful and you are very sweet.
