I love Leah at the Daystyle design series of videos! I have just gotten to the point with my FMQ that I feel comfortable tackling one block at a time instead of zooming all over the place. It just has been working better for me during this learning process.

I use both the vinyl and the Sew Slip sheet which is the same as the Supreme Slider but cheaper, I put down the vinyl and then the Sew Slip on top and it holds down the vinyl works great. I also think Leah Day from Daystyle Designs is awesome, I have learned a great deal from her. In fact I bought my sewing machine table from her, great to deal with, love her videos too.

the sliders make the whole top of the area alot eaiser for the fabric to move; gloves help hold onto the fabric so that you don't have to grip it. sometimes the tension has to be changed. Here is a link to one site that helps alot; this is her way and there are so many ways. I really like this vinyl idea; a whole lot cheaper. The key to all aspects of quilting is to keep on learning new things and that's what's great about this board.

What is sew slip and where can you find it. I love your avatar, I just finished tht pattern but with modifications to the border and the size, and gave it to my son without photo copying, think I will have to go visit and take a pix. Yours looks lovely.!! :-D
