I am hoping I did this correctly. You should be able to see 2 pics of a 54 yr old satin quilt done by my grandmother.

Beautiful work. It must be really special to have a piece that your grandmother made.

It is. I was fortunate enough to have my grandmother around for a long time. I had her make the same pattern in the yellow/green satin to be able to pass down to my children along with this one.

I remember her quilting on a wooden quilt stand, I would think the needle would go in easier but not sure since I do not hand quilt. I wish I still had the pattern she used. I remember seeing it when she did the yellow/green one for me.

Myrna, what an amazing, precious treasure! I had to study it for the longest time -- wondering how frustrating the fabric would be, and how patient she must have been to get it done. It's just beautiful.
