A shipping disaster averted by one Ziploc style bag.

I received a "we care" bag from the postal service. Inside: charred remains of a paper envelope, water and a sealed Ziploc bag with undamaged fabrics and a pattern.

I don't know how they delivered it with no obvious address. I don't know why the whole thing didn't burn. The plastic didn't even melt. Cool beans.

Pictured is the backside, I think, of the envelope. There was no front. :0D

The PO will put your item in a plastic bag if they have ruined the original packaging. I do wonder how they knew where to deliver it, though. Hmmmm

They did put it in one of those "we care" bags. That wasn't the bag that saved the day. It was the fatquartershop's bag that saved the fabric.

BTW every time I get a clear plastic bag from the post office with that lame saying on it... I LOL. Whatever genius came up with the retooling of the damaged mail bags deserves their ridiculously high pension. I appreciate their sense of humor.

In the olden times, of fours years ago or so, I would get a plastic bag with a letter in it. It wasn't a personalized letter and took about four paragraphs to say "We messed up your mail, man. So sorry." I think I prefer "We care." and "We deliver for you."
