Default Play Ball

This is a charity quilt through our guild. The pattern is from Project Linus. In our guild, members can do any part of the quilt and return it for another member to do more. I love the way this works. However, I loved this pattern and did the entire quilt. The guild provides everything but the thread

The backing was not there when I pieced the top. When I returned the top, I asked to be the quilter. I had hoped to have my frame set up to do some special quilting in the white areas. That hasn't happened yet. I was thrilled at their choice of backings. The colorful zig zags have printed quilting stitches printed on each. So I quilted it from the back following every other zig zag stitching line. I'm not thrilled with the pale yellow binding... I think something brighter should have been used. But done is good, right?

Adorable! It's such a fun, happy quilt and I'm sure it will bring a nice big smile to a child. How kind of you and your group.
