What a wonderful treasure to find and share with your family. You're right, we should label our quilts. I figured I'd remember, but it's like writing down milestones in your children's lives, you can't remember everything. It's easy to forget, thanks for the reminder.

Sometimes what the quilt is for ... b'day, welcome to the family, etc. Some people will put the name of the quilt pattern / block used and name of the designer if it applies. I think about doing it when it comes to making my label I forget that part.
A label could / should be like a story, it will have more meaning and if the quilt lasts a long time, it might end up in a museum.
