Pretty Pin Cushions

This is probably what I will do with mine.
The pillow idea is also a good one. But get this: the piece of fabric used to make the narrow "loops" in this approx 4" pincushion is 10 or 10.5 inches square (I forget which). For a 12" pillow that would be a very large piece of fabric. Seems like it would be worthwhile to figure out a fabric shortcut.

Hello all, I just finished these five "Cathedral Window" pin cushions. The pattern comes from Foot Loose & Fancy Free, and is by Sandra Grace Lister. If interested in the free pattern (PDF download), you can go to www.footloosenfancyfree.com.
When I saw the pattern (quite some time ago), I knew I wanted to try it. These were NOT EASY!!! I think they must have taken about 3 hours each....well, maybe I exaggerate a little, but they are certainly a lot of fussy work! Even so, I love the results!
I was sewing buttons on at work yesterday, and a fellow suggested he'd have to get one from me (his girlfriend is a crafter). I didn't make them to sell, and for all the work, not to mention the buttons (up to $2.50/each), I think my price would have to be pretty high.
Thanks for looking!
