I have only dreamed of being able to make those 3-D blocks. Someday!!!
Your quilt is lovely and very eye catching! Have fun with the quilting. |
Thank you all for enthusiastic comments - it was Kathryn (k3n) who started me on these OBWs and she did warn me it would become a habit! And I have seen her latest which is gorgeous - wait till you see that!
They are so much fun to make - do have a go at them. For fans of the cubes there is a new book appearing in April specifically focussing on them http://www.amazon.com/One-Block-Wond...3831518&sr=8-1 which I suppose I will HAVE to get, tee hee! |
Thanks K - glad I recruited another victim, I mean, CONVERT to the OBW cause! But I must say, you've taken to it like a duck to water and your eye for fabrics to use is far better than mine!
I'm done quilting and binding my latest, the machine part - just have to sew in ends and hand sew binding to the back. Re the cubes, I had a link somewhere which showed all the pages in the OBW Encore explaining how to do them. I'll see if I can find it. :-D |
Whoa, that is awesome!
|
Thanks for the book title,Katrine. I've got it on my "wish list" on Amazon. I think I have to have it too!

Here's the link which tells you how to do the cubes. :-D |
Was it on the Amazon "read inside" feature?
|
sorry that crossed with your post!
|
No probs! I wish I'd seen it before I bought the second book, although it's still worth having for the border and layout ideas - will be interesting to see what new twists she comes up with in the third! :-D
|
You're very welcome - perhaps k3n and myself should start a obw/cube fanclub, or maybe a French branch????
