I recently went on a "quilting" cruise--the days we were on the water, we had quilting classes. One of the teachers was Jody Barrows, who taught classes using her Square in a Square ruler. She's been using it for 20+ years and makes it look so easy, but when I tried it, my blocks didn't turn out quite as expected so they ended up in some smaller quilts.
I put backing (fleece) on seven quilts on Sunday. I have four of them quilted now. Pictures attached. Ssquares and Bugs Square in a Square & Hearts Alpha Animals Turtles & Frogs |

Cute quilts! I have that ruler and found that using it the outside of your blocks end up being on the bias, so need to be handled quite carefully.
