Using the freezer paper technique for the Quilter's World "Garden Beauty". Not perfect, but I'm learning!

Colors better "live".

Looks great to me. Please post pic when completed.

That's another thing to add to my to-do list. I've paper pieced, but not that type of block. Have only PP smaller, simplier block.

KUDOS to you

Maggie_Sue 05-19-2010 03:41 PM

I was thinking about trying that very pattern! You have inspired me! Great job!

CajunQuilter2 05-19-2010 03:43 PM

Those are beautiful. And I know you have been asked before about your avatar. What patter is that, would love to get it. Thanks

zkosh 05-19-2010 03:58 PM

It's looking great!

If I weren't in the middle of several other projects, I would start right in on that pattern, too. I am keeping it in mind for later though! Don't you just love the freezer paper method?

Deb watkins 05-19-2010 04:00 PM

I love them, and am very jealous as I STILL have trouble with those darned curved pieces!

Crafty1 05-19-2010 04:02 PM

Yes, mine seem to be OK until I have to square the whole block! And many have "do-over" spots! Thanks!

CarrieAnne 05-19-2010 04:11 PM

Wow, looks perfect to me!

Crlyn 05-19-2010 04:15 PM

Kitsie....... I love them, how many are you doing, and how are you going to place them in your quilt.

Love your colours. Keep us posted.

I have started New York Beauty, which is similar, I just keep looking at the blocks I've done and wondering where I'm going with it! :-D

I says "Freezer paper is Good!"

You says right! Can't imagine having to remove all those bits of paper if I'd sewn through them! Trying to put the upper portion together tomorrow which would have been much easier if I'd cut some of the sky pieces to the correct 12 1/2" instead of 12 1/4"! Should have know better than to try it at this hour! Oh well, I need extra for the binding so I'll just cut new ones. I'm getting pretty good at "stretching" but that's a bit much!
