Hello everyone,

So after being bogged down with work I got to take a break and go on my very first quilt retreat in Lexington Kentucky. My friend Joann and I went to Kaye England's Quilting College 2011 and the quilt below is what I worked on while I was there.

I know this might sound silly, but I'm really proud of this quilt. It's the first quilt I've made that wasn't a basic square or half square block. It actually went together really well. And after a year of quilting it was time for me to challenge myself with a more difficult quilt.

Now I'm planning to send this to Charisma to have it quilted. I've seen all of her photos on the board and they are GORGEOUS! So I'll post another pic in a few months when I get it back. :)

You have good reason to be proud. I love your quilt. Can't wait to see it quilted, but Charisma might just beat you to it and post it herself.

Nothing silly about being proud of doing a great job. Really well thought out and good color choices.
