I've never paper pieced and I do believe I should have chosen something easier for my first venture into this wonderful technique. It sure isn't perfect, but I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I learned so many things, the hard way; but I also found that I love paper piecing.

I like your choice of colors and the USMC emblem fabric. I will be curious to try this pattern myself. I have done a little PP'ing and thanks to all of you, I think this will be a challenging piece so I am prepared to sweat a little over it. BettyGee, for your first try, I think you did great!
