This is a small wall hanging that was inspired by the works of Irena Bluhm. I recently purchased her book Quilts of a Different Color and got to work.
http://stores.irenabluhmscreations.com/StoreFront.bok You need to draw a rough outline of your vase of flowers, and fill in with free motion quilted images using a variety of thread colors. Once complete, spray with water and block your work, let dry, bind to finish then color in the images with colored pencils.
