I was commissioned to make a double wedding ring quilt for a woman's daughter who is getting married in September. She specified the colors of turquoise and copper. I thought it was a strange color combination, and a little hard to find fabrics in these colors, but after shopping at two stores, going through my stash and my friend's stash, I came up with these fabrics. I spent the last couple of days cutting out all the pieces. What do you think of the fabrics and colors?

I can't wait to see the progress. I like the color scheme, almost a Southwestern feel to me.

I'm glad you said it has a southwestern feel because that's what she said her daughter liked. I thought it was such a strange color combo, but I think I'm going to like it. The background is a cream colored tone on tone. I'll take some pics as I go!

I think they all look good together..the only one I question is the paw print? Does they like animals?

The fabric's that you have found, for this quilt, are gorgeous!! I can just picture how pretty it will be, when finished. Please share pictures as you make more progress. I am so anxious to see it!!

Those wouldn't be my color choices either, but they remind me of living in New Mexico and visiting the Pueblos. The natives there made beautiful turquoise and leather jewelry.

I love the colour combo too!
