This one is absolutely amazing. It looks like you could just step into it. But, if you look at it long enough, you could get dizzy. Just think of all the planning and work that the quilter did on this one.

One of the themes of the Dallas Show for 2009 was Three Dimensional (or the Illusion os 3-D)

This quilt above definitely achieved that effect. I cannot imagine doing that.

I posted about pics of maybe 45 quilts out of 361, give or take a few. And if you count those quilts in all the vendor booths, there had to be over 600 or 700 displayed.

This show always inspires me and I just get all excited, but a few weeks later, the excitement sort of calms down. Then I go back to my plain ole quilts.

I hope you enjoyed this armchair tour of some of the eye candy at the show.

Had to be good with math. So many quilters are Math Professors or are math majors. Then there are those that started out as artists and gravitated to quilting. Then there are the rest of us.
