Grand-daughter's 1st quilt
 

Here's one of my beautiful grand-daughters - and her first larger quilt - done just before she turned 9.(we've done a couple of doll quilts) She picked the fabric from my stash, i cut, but she did all the sewing - then i SID quilted and bound. It was a gift for her Mom for her birthday. We had a great time, and she wants to do another, this time doing the SID herself. I'm very proud of her.

It's beautiful, she should be very proud of herself! I know you are proud of her as well, my DGD just turned 6, we've
made Doll quilts, she's helped me with lap quilts, her favorite thing to do is little quilts for her Bryer horses. Keep that girl sewing it is a gift you can give to her and she can pass on to the next generation!

I can't wait for my granddaughter, who's 4, to get old enough so I can teach her to sew. She is interested in the stuff I make so I've been watching for juvenile sewing machines that would be safe for a youngster so grandma can buy her one. Love spending money on my precious Maddie.
