    Grand-daughter's 1st quilt

Here's one of my beautiful grand-daughters - and her first larger quilt - done just before she turned 9.(we've done a couple of doll quilts) She picked the fabric from my stash, i cut, but she did all the sewing - then i SID quilted and bound. It was a gift for her Mom for her birthday. We had a great time, and she wants to do another, this time doing the SID herself. I'm very proud of her.
    Thanks for looking.Name: Kylie's first quilt.jpg

It's beautiful, she should be very proud of herself! I know you are proud of her as well, my DGD just turned 6, we've
made Doll quilts, she's helped me with lap quilts, her favorite thing to do is little quilts for her Bryer horses. Keep that girl sewing it is a gift you can give to her and she can pass on to the next generation!

What a wonderful quilt. It's beautiful. Welcome her to the wonderful world of quilting for me please. She will for sure carry on for you in the future. And to grandma, props to you for taking the time to teacher her and nurture her creativity with fabric.

She did a great job ! You have given her a gift of a life time. While teaching her to quilt you have created memories she will cherish forever. What a blessing for both of you & her mom.
